Merrimack Valley, MA diner tour June 22, 2002

Tour host: Gary Thomas

Jan's Diner was made by an unknown builder, although it looks a little like a Ward and Dickinson.

Sam's Steak Out is a modified Worcester Lunch Car with picture windows on the back wall of the diner.

Al's Diner suffered a fire a couple of years ago and sports a newly installed natural wood interior faithful to the original style of this Worcester.

Pat's Diner was formerly Ann's Diner, but the original Worcester panels have been covered with Texture 1-11 wood siding.

Chubby's Diner is a 1941 O'Mahony that was renovated by Ralph Musi, but that front entrance looks more like it came from a Home Depot.

Fish Tale Diner has shake shingles over its original Worcester exterior, but the interior is in close to original condition.

Agawam Diner is a stainless steel Fodero of the style more commonly seen closer to New Jersey.

28 Bar & Grill, a single ended Sterling Streamliner, was the lunch stop on the tour.
UPDATE: This diner has been moved to Granby, Connecticut.
Paradise Diner (Worcester) is home of the "Boote Mill Sandwich:" a large bun filled with eggs, cheese, home fries, and your choice of bacon, ham, or sausage. Or, order a "Triple" and get all three!

Four Sisters Owl Diner is a Worcester
Semi-Streamliner with an excellent sign (right.)
Worcester Lunch Car # 666 (left) is undergoing restoration in the yard of a private residence.

RoadsideFans Extra    Salem Diner is a single ended Sterling Streamliner.

RoadsideFans Extra     Capitol Diner in Lynn, MA is likely the only Brill diner still operating.

RoadsideFans Extra    Riley's Diner (Sterling) is housing a balloon and floral shop.
UPDATE: This diner has moved to New Hampshire.
